The New Albany Company Commits to a Long-Term Renewable Energy Solution

Program will assist to attract future and forward-looking businesses and residents.

Columbus, Ohio, August XX, 2021: A nationally recognized master planned community surrounded by meadows, woodlands and waterways with a business climate that promotes an entrepreneurial spirit driving commerce in a 5,000-acre Business Park, the New Albany Company will source all electricity used for its operations from renewable generation.

The New Albany Company has signed a 12-year, 100% renewable energy supply agreement with Ohio-based AEP Energy, a subsidiary of American Electric Power. AEP Energy will supply the company with clean energy through its Integrated Renewable Energy (IRE) solution, a long-term, fixed price retail energy option that supports new, locally sourced wind and solar. The agreement will reduce approximately 3,010 metric tons of carbon from the atmosphere each year. This is equivalent to the carbon sequestered over 163,216,128 acres of U.S. forests over the 12-year term.
